Mumbai: Fans got a delightful surprise when Ginni Chatrath, wife of comedian Kapil Sharma, made her acting debut in the film “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2”, playing Kapil’s fifth wife. A climax clip from the movie has gone viral on social media, creating a buzz among viewers.
Movie and Viral Scene:
Released on 12 December, the film is the sequel to the 2015 hit of the same name. While the movie has received a lukewarm response at the box office, overshadowed by films like “Dhurandhar”, Ginni’s cameo has caught the audience’s attention.
The viral scene is set in a hospital where Kapil Sharma’s character is informed by his on-screen mother (played by Supriya Shukla) that he has not four but five wives. Shocked, Kapil asks how this is possible. The mother explains that a match had been arranged for him even before his birth based on astrology. The climax reveals Ginni as his fifth wife, making her entry with a garland, adding a humorous twist to the film’s finale.
Ginni’s On-Screen Debut:
In the film, Ginni’s character is also named Ginni, and she shares the screen with four other lead actresses: Heera Varina, Tridha Choudhary, Ayesha Khan, and Parul Gulati. Veteran actor Asrani and Manjot Singh also appear in pivotal roles.
Box Office Performance:
Despite the buzz around Ginni’s cameo, the film’s performance has been underwhelming. In its first five days, it grossed only ₹9.15 crore, against a reported budget of ₹30–35 crore.
Conclusion:
While the film has struggled commercially, Ginni Chatrath’s entry has been a talking point, marking a notable debut in Bollywood alongside her husband Kapil Sharma, and giving fans a glimpse of her screen presence in the much-anticipated climax.
