Who is Geetu Mohandas?

Geetu Mohandas, born Gayatri Das, is a celebrated name in Malayalam cinema. She began her career as a child artist and eventually transitioned into acting, directing, and producing. Her first stint as a child artist was in the film Muthal Poojyam Vare, opposite the legendary Mohanlal, when she was only five years old. She continued acting in films like En Bommukutty Ammavukku and later starred in Mohanlal’s Life is Beautiful. Her acting journey includes notable Malayalam films such as Thenkasi Pattanam, Valkannadi, and Nammal Thammil.

Geetu’s breakthrough came with the film Akale (2004), for which she won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress as well as the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
