Mumbai witnessed a grand celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) over two days, drawing Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Shilpa Shetty, and filmmaker Karan Johar. Speaking at the event, Shilpa Shetty expressed her admiration for RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and said she would dedicate herself wholeheartedly to serving the nation.
Star-Studded Celebration
The centenary event was held at the Nehru Centre Auditorium on February 7 and 8, 2026. Among the attendees were prominent Bollywood personalities such as Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar, Ananya Panday, Raveena Tandon, Jackie Shroff, Roopali Ganguly, Vineet Kumar Singh, Nitesh Tiwari, Madhur Bhandarkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Anand L. Rai.
On the first day, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, filmmaker Mohit Suri, Subhash Ghai, and lyricist Prasoon Joshi attended. Mohan Bhagwat spoke about India’s cultural unity, emphasizing that people in the country are connected by a shared heritage. The second day focused on issues such as the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh and illegal immigration in India.

Mohan Bhagwat remarked on Salman Khan’s influence on students, saying, “College students often look up to Salman Khan as an inspiration. They copy his fashion without even realizing it. This shows that positive values in society should set trends, just like fashion.”

Shilpa Shetty said, “First of all, heartfelt congratulations to RSS on its centenary. I am a big fan of Mohan Bhagwat. I truly admire his commitment and dedication to the nation, and his thoughts inspire me.
