Actor Eijaz Khan, known for his work in films and television, opened up about his personal life in a candid interview, discussing his relationships, marriage, and children. The 50-year-old actor, who remains unmarried, reflected on his past relationships and addressed controversies surrounding his ex-girlfriends.
On Breakups and Personal Accountability
Speaking to ETimes, Eijaz stated that his failed relationships were a result of both partners’ shortcomings. “If I analyze my past relationships, it feels like I am talking about my exes’ flaws. But if I don’t, it seems I am blaming myself. Both my relationships failed due to mutual mistakes,” he explained. He added that he is content with his age and has no intention of marrying or having children.
Responding to Pavitra Punia
Eijaz also addressed allegations made by his former Bigg Boss 14 co-contestant Pavitra Punia, who had accused him of pressuring her to convert to Islam. He clarified, “Anything my ex-girlfriends said about me has been misrepresented. The context of my responses was taken out of proportion. Pavitra had herself later denied the claim. I do not wish to argue or debate with anyone about the past.”
Childhood Trauma and Personal Growth
The actor revealed that he experienced physical abuse in childhood, which instilled a fear of physical touch. “I have worked on myself and learned a lot, including from my Bigg Boss experience. I now try to remain calm unless a situation escalates to a point where I must respond,” he said.
Family and Personal Life
Eijaz reflected on the absence of a supportive family, saying, “In Mumbai, there’s no one to help me manage a home. At 50, I manage everything myself. I always wanted a family but never had a strong female presence in my life. I am happy with my life as it is and enjoy every stage of it.”
No Plans for Marriage or Children
Eijaz affirmed that he does not wish to marry or enter another relationship. He emphasized that while he could be a good father, his current focus is on his health and personal well-being.
Past Relationships and Controversies
Eijaz’s romantic history includes relationships with Pavitra Punia, Anita Hassanandani, and Natalee Di Lusio. In an earlier interview with Rajeev Khandelwal, he admitted to cheating once, calling it a mistake that impacted his life profoundly. He explained that mental health challenges during the shoot of Laut Aao Trisha contributed to the breakup with Natalee.
Legal Allegations
His name was also linked to actress Nidhi Kashyap, who filed a case against him for alleged physical abuse during their live-in relationship. This controversy forced him to temporarily leave Mumbai and affected promotions for the film Tanu Weds Manu.
Early Life Challenges
Eijaz’s parents separated when he was three. He grew up in Mumbai with his father and brother, while his mother moved to Hyderabad. His aunt took care of him after his parents’ separation. During Bigg Boss 14, he also spoke about his childhood abuse, revealing his discomfort with unwanted physical contact.
Eijaz Khan’s reflections offer a candid insight into the actor’s personal struggles, relationships, and journey of self-awareness, underscoring the complexities of fame, family, and personal life.
