‘Dhurandhar’ Shines on 54th Day at Box Office; ‘The Raja Saab’, ‘Rahu Ketu’, and ‘Happy Patel’ Struggle

Even on its 54th day, Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ continues to dominate the box office, outgrossing newer releases. On Tuesday, while ‘Border 2’ faced a dip in collections, ‘Dhurandhar’ still earned more than the combined total of ‘The Raja Saab’, ‘Rahu Ketu’, and ‘Happy Patel’.

The spy-action thriller made history during Republic Day weekend, crossing ₹1001 crore in gross earnings—becoming the first Indian film to achieve such a milestone with a release in a single language. On its 53rd day, the film earned ₹1.25 crore domestically, and by the 54th day, collections naturally fell to the lakh-level due to limited screenings, as most theaters are now showcasing ‘Border 2’. Despite this, ‘Dhurandhar’ still outperformed the combined box office totals of Prabhas’ 19-day-old ‘The Raja Saab’, the 12-day-old ‘Rahu Ketu’, and ‘Happy Patel’.

‘Border 2’ Sees Weekend Boost but Drops on Tuesday
Thanks to the Republic Day holiday, both ‘Dhurandhar’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’ benefitted from heavy footfall on Monday. However, Tuesday marked a sharp decline for ‘Border 2’. The film, which earned ₹30.00 crore on opening day and ₹59.00 crore on Monday, collected ₹19.50 crore on Tuesday. In just five days, the war drama has amassed ₹196.50 crore domestically and ₹270.70 crore worldwide.

Dhurandhar’s 54th Day Collections
Even in its 8th weekend, ‘Dhurandhar’ impressed with its steady performance. During Friday through Monday, the film earned a total of ₹4.15 crore. On Tuesday, with very few shows left, it collected ₹50 lakh domestically—the second time since release that earnings fell to the lakh range (previously ₹55 lakh on Friday). After 54 days, the film’s total net collection in India stands at ₹835.65 crore, with a gross of ₹1002.50 crore.

Worldwide Gross and OTT Plans
Starring Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun, ‘Dhurandhar’ has now entered its final theatrical phase. Reports indicate that the film will begin streaming on Netflix from 30 January 2026, limiting further domestic net collection potential. Overseas, it has grossed ₹296.25 crore, bringing the worldwide total to ₹1298.75 crore in 54 days.

Struggles of Other Releases
In contrast, Prabhas’ horror-comedy ‘The Raja Saab’ is performing poorly. Made on a budget of around ₹350–400 crore, the film has netted only ₹144.22 crore in India over 19 days, with a worldwide gross of ₹206.36 crore. On Tuesday, it earned just ₹34 lakh in Telugu and ₹1 lakh in Hindi-dubbed versions.

Similarly, ‘Rahu Ketu’ and ‘Happy Patel’, released on 16 January, have struggled at the box office. On Tuesday, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma’s ‘Rahu Ketu’ earned ₹2 lakh, while Pulkit Samrat’s ‘Happy Patel’ earned ₹3 lakh. In 12 days, ‘Rahu Ketu’ collected ₹6.33 crore net domestically, and ‘Happy Patel’ earned ₹6.06 crore.

Conclusion
While newer releases falter, ‘Dhurandhar’ continues to shine, cementing its position as one of the most successful Indian films in recent history, both domestically and overseas.
