‘Dhurandhar Part 2’ Promises 50x More Action and Thrills, Actor Naveen Kaushik Hints

Fans eagerly awaiting ‘Dhurandhar Part 2’ have reason to be excited. Actor Naveen Kaushik, who plays the character Donga, a henchman of the gangster Rehman, revealed that the sequel will deliver 50 times more action, mystery, and suspense than the first part.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the original ‘Dhurandhar’, starring Ranveer Singh as Hamza, released on 5 December 2025 and became the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide for 2025, surpassing ‘Kantara Chapter 1’. While the first film ended with Rehman’s death, the sequel will see Hamza navigating the underworld of Lyari, confronting powerful figures, and foiling the nefarious plans of Pakistan’s secret agency, ISI.

Speaking to Just To Filmi, Naveen said, “Everything you saw in Part 1—action, mystery, manipulation—will be 50 times more intense in the sequel. I’ve seen it happen on set, and it’s on a whole new level.”

Naveen also spoke about the gruesome scenes, especially the torture sequence involving Arjun Rampal, which left him shocked. “Even though I had read the script, seeing the scene come alive was chilling. Moments like the 26/11-inspired scene and the suspense around the spy in Hamza’s ranks will give you goosebumps. The torture sequence—honestly, I just thought, ‘This is insane!’ It’s extraordinary.”

The actor further revealed the scale of the production: “Aditya recreated Lyari in Thailand for filming. Eight blocks were converted to resemble Pakistan, with streets, shops, and homes. The crew even stayed there when not shooting, making it a functioning township for 40 days. Everything—costumes, makeup, action—was meticulously planned within this set.”

Ranveer Singh had previously hinted at the sequel, reacting to co-star Danish Pandor’s Instagram post: “You are my life! Everyone loves you. Imagine what they’ll think when they see Part 2!”

‘Dhurandhar Part 2’ is scheduled to release in theaters on 19 March 2026, coinciding with Eid, and will compete at the box office with Yash’s ‘Toxic’. The film stars Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Khanna, and R. Madhavan alongside Ranveer Singh. With a reported budget of ₹280 crore, expectations for the sequel are sky-high, promising unprecedented action, intense drama, and edge-of-the-seat thrills for fans.
