Dhurandhar End Credits Reveal Ranveer Singh’s Vanity Vans, Fans React Strongly; Film Viewed 5.5 Million Times on OTT in 3 Days

After Dhurandhar grossed a staggering ₹1,303 crore worldwide at the box office, the film is now making waves on OTT platforms as well. However, fans were taken aback by a surprising revelation in the film’s end credits involving Ranveer Singh, reigniting debates about actors’ extravagant on-set demands.

According to Ormax Media, the film, which released on OTT on 30 January, was viewed by 5.5 million users within 72 hours. Viewers have been scrutinizing every scene, especially under the direction of Aditya Dhar, seeking hidden easter eggs and surprises.

The Revelation in End Credits:
The controversy emerged when fans noticed that under the Vendor Transportation section in the end credits, the character Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh, had three separate vanity vans listed:

  • Hamza Van
  • Hamza Staff Van
  • Hamza Normal Van

This confirmed long-standing industry rumors about actors requesting multiple vanity vans, which can increase a film’s production budget. Social media users quickly linked this to Ranveer Singh, sparking discussions about the on-set expenses and privileges of top actors.

What is a Vanity Van and Its Cost?
Vanity vans are mobile dressing and resting spaces for actors, used for makeup, costume changes, relaxation, and meetings. While some top stars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Sunny Deol bear the cost themselves, others rely on the production to provide them.

Approximate cost ranges for different types of vanity vans:

  • Top-tier van (multi-room, living space): ₹2–3 crore
  • High-end custom van: ₹75 lakh – ₹1 crore
  • Mid-range van (basic amenities, small pantry, washroom, TV): ₹30–50 lakh
  • Basic van (dressing space, AC): ₹15–20 lakh

Industry Buzz and Previous Controversies:
Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta had earlier hinted on a podcast that a superstar had caused production challenges by demanding multiple vanity vans for a South Indian film, leading to conflicts with the producer. While the actor was unnamed at the time, fans now speculate that Ranveer Singh fits the profile, especially after the end-credit scene revealed the three vans for Hamza.

Dhurandhar 2 Teaser Disappoints Fans:
Meanwhile, the teaser for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, released on Tuesday, left fans underwhelmed, as expectations for new content were not met. However, the post-credit scene from the first film was used as a teaser for the sequel. The upcoming film will release on 19 March 2026 across five languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam – as a Pan-India release, whereas the original Dhurandhar was only released in Hindi.
