Dhanush to Tie the Knot Again! Set to Marry Mrunal Thakur on Valentine’s Day

South superstar Dhanush is reportedly all set for his second marriage. According to reports, the actor will exchange vows with actress Mrunal Thakur on Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2026. The couple, who have been dating for a long time, have yet to make an official announcement about their wedding.

The wedding, as per the report by Free Press Journal, will be an intimate affair with only close family members and friends in attendance. The couple is said to be planning a private ceremony to celebrate their union.

Relationship Timeline
Rumors of Dhanush and Mrunal’s relationship first emerged in August 2025, when the actor was seen at the premiere of Mrunal’s film Sun of Sardar 2. The speculation intensified when Mrunal attended the wrap-up party of Dhanush’s film Tere Ishq. Both of Dhanush’s sisters, Dr. Kartika Karthik and Vimala Geet, also follow Mrunal on Instagram, indicating the families are aware of the relationship.

Despite dating for some time, the couple has chosen to keep their relationship private. A source told News18 Shosha, “Yes, they are dating, but their relationship is still new, so they are not planning any public announcement. They don’t mind being seen together casually, and their friends support them because their tastes and interests align well.”

Mrunal had previously denied any romantic link with Dhanush, stating last year that they were “just good friends.”

Dhanush is 42 years old, while Mrunal is 33, making a nine-year age difference between the couple.

Dhanush was earlier married to Aishwarya Rajinikanth, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, in 2004 in Chennai. The couple has two sons: Yatra (born 2006) and Linga (born 2010). Dhanush and Aishwarya announced their separation in 2022, and their divorce was finalized in 2024 by the Chennai Family Court.
