Dhanush Revisits the Narrow Lanes of Banaras; Mrunal Thakur’s Playful Comment Rekindles Memories of ‘Raanjhanaa’

Actor Dhanush recently visited Varanasi for the promotion of his upcoming film Tere Ishq Mein. During his trip, he shared a series of captivating photographs from the ancient city, along with a heartfelt note recalling his journey from the iconic 2013 film Raanjhanaa. His emotional tribute instantly grabbed attention—especially after actress Mrunal Thakur dropped a comment, adding fuel to the ongoing link-up rumours.

Dhanush Gets Nostalgic in Varanasi

On Wednesday, Dhanush posted multiple pictures from his spiritual walk through the ghats and lanes of Banaras. The actor was accompanied by Raanjhanaa and Tere Ishq Mein director Aanand L. Rai.

Reminiscing about the film that transformed his Bollywood journey, Dhanush wrote:

*“Walking down the memory lane where it all began. Kundan— a character who refuses to leave me even after more than a decade. His name still echoes in the narrow lanes of Banaras when people call out to me, and I still turn back with a smile. Sitting outside the same house, sipping tea at the same shop, and strolling along the sacred Ganga with the man who gave me Kundan— it feels like a complete circle. Now it’s time for Shankar. *Tere Ishq Mein… Har Har Mahadev.”

Mrunal Thakur’s Comment Sparks Buzz Again

Amid talks of their alleged connection, Mrunal Thakur commented on Dhanush’s post, writing:

“Dhanush sir… what a beautiful journey! Blockbuster!! Cult!!! Legacy!!”

She ended the comment with a high-five emoji.
Dhanush acknowledged her message with a hug and a white heart emoji, prompting fans to speculate once again.

The Rumoured Equation Between Dhanush and Mrunal

Rumours of a possible relationship between the two actors first surfaced in August after they were seen together at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2. Their appearance at the wrap party of Tere Ishq Mein further intensified whispers. Reports suggesting Mrunal follows Dhanush’s sisters on Instagram also added to the speculation. However, both actors have maintained strict privacy regarding their personal lives.

‘Tere Ishq Mein’ Hits Theatres Worldwide
