Choreographer Nandika Dwivedi Breaks Silence Amid Smriti Mandhana–Palash Muchhal Wedding Controversy

The postponement of the wedding between Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and Bollywood music composer Palash Muchhal has sparked a wave of speculation and controversy. While one side worried about Smriti’s father being hospitalized, rumors also surfaced about Palash allegedly being involved with other women. In the midst of this, choreographer Nandika Dwivedi has come forward to clarify her position.

Nandika, a professional dancer, choreographer, and personal instructor, holds a degree from Delhi University and an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad. She was reportedly chosen by famed Bollywood choreographer Bosco’s team to provide dance training for the couple ahead of their wedding. Soon after, her name became linked to the controversy.

In a strong statement, Nandika categorically denied any involvement in the personal matters of the couple. She wrote, “Over the past few days, my name has been dragged into speculation regarding deeply private matters of others. I want to make it clear that any assumptions suggesting I played a role in disrupting a relationship are completely false.”

She further expressed her distress over false narratives circulating online, stating, “It is extremely painful to see stories being created around something I had no part in. What’s worse is witnessing how quickly these stories spread without any basis in reality.”

Highlighting the impact on her mental health, Nandika added, “This is not easy for me. I have been receiving threats, and those I care about are distressed and affected by these false allegations. To protect my family, I had to make my social media account private.”

Nandika concluded with a heartfelt plea, urging the public not to involve her in this matter: “Please, I request everyone not to spread rumors. I have sacrificed a lot to come to Mumbai, work, and achieve my goals. Kindly do not associate my name further. Ultimately, the truth will come out.”

Earlier, choreographer Gulnaz Khan also distanced herself from the controversy, denying any role in the couple’s personal challenges and appealing to the public not to spread misinformation.

Amid the turmoil, Palash Muchhal’s mother, Amita, reassured fans that the couple remains emotionally affected but their wedding will take place soon. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said, “Both Smriti and Palash are going through a tough time… Palash dreamed of welcoming his bride home. I had even planned a special welcome. Everything will be fine. The wedding will happen very soon.”
