Box Office Report: ‘Dhurdhar’ Dominates While ‘Tere Ishq Mein’, ‘Sholay’ and ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ Struggle to Keep Pace

At the box office, Dhurdhar starring Ranveer Singh and Akshay Khanna continues to reign supreme, raking in massive earnings and crossing the ₹350 crore mark. Amid this storm, a few other films are trying to carve their own space, including Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, Dhanush-Kriti Sanon starrer Tere Ishq Mein, and the re-released classic Sholay: The Final Cut.

‘Tere Ishq Mein’ Continues Steady Run

Now in its 17th day in theaters, Tere Ishq Mein, directed by Anand L. Rai, collected ₹1.85 crore on Sunday, taking its total domestic collection to ₹113.35 crore. Worldwide, the film has earned ₹157.25 crore, including ₹22.50 crore from overseas markets. In India, the gross stands at ₹134 crore. The film maintained an occupancy of 41.17% on Sunday, with evening shows seeing a full house at 63.6% capacity.

Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Draws Moderate Crowds

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, which released three days ago, saw a Sunday collection of ₹2.85 crore. The film’s total earnings so far amount to ₹7.20 crore. While audience turnout has been slightly below expectations, the comedy continues to attract viewers.

‘Sholay: The Final Cut’ Revives Nostalgia

Alongside Kapil Sharma’s film, Sholay: The Final Cut brought back cinematic memories for audiences. Originally released in 1975 and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, and Jaya Bachchan, the film was re-released in 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD). Despite the nostalgia factor, its Sunday collection stood at ₹60 lakh, bringing the total three-day earnings to ₹1.40 crore.

While Dhurdhar continues to dominate the box office with blockbuster numbers, the other films are finding it challenging to compete, though they are steadily earning and connecting with their niche audiences.
