Mumbai, 25 November 2025:
Ajay Devgn’s latest romantic drama ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, made on an estimated budget of ₹135 crore, has completed 11 days in theatres. While the film showed a stable run during its opening week, it has still not recovered its production cost. Meanwhile, Imran Hashmi and Yami Gautam’s ‘Haq’ continues to gasp for breath at the box office after more than two weeks.
‘De De Pyaar De 2’ Slides Sharply on Monday
Co-starring Rakul Preet Singh, the sequel had been performing steadily, but its first Monday witnessed a significant drop. The film’s earnings fell drastically, placing it closer to the collection figures of ‘Masti 4’, surprising trade analysts.
The storyline revolves around a romantic relationship with a large age gap, blending comedy, emotion, and entertainment. While the first half was able to engage audiences with humour, the narrative appears to falter post-interval, resulting in a slowdown in word-of-mouth traction.
Latest Collection Figures
According to Sacnilk reports:
- Sunday Collection: ₹4.35 crore
- Monday Collection: ₹1.50 crore
- Total India Net: ₹63.20 crore
- Worldwide Gross: Over ₹93 crore
Despite a decent global run, the film remains short of its big-budget mark.
Imran Hashmi–Yami Gautam’s ‘Haq’ Nears the End of Its Run
On the other hand, ‘Haq’, featuring Imran Hashmi and Yami Gautam, is based on Jigna Vora’s book “Banō Bharat Ki Beti,” and loosely inspired by the Shah Bano case.
The story follows Shazia Bano (Yami Gautam), who marries Abbas Khan (Imran Hashmi). As their relationship collapses, Abbas marries his ex-girlfriend, breaks his promise of financial responsibility for their children, and forces Shazia into a legal battle for her rights.
Box Office Performance of ‘Haq’
- Day 18 Collection: ₹12 lakh
- Total India Net: ₹19.37 crore
- Worldwide Collection: Around ₹28.44 crore
- Budget: ₹40–42 crore
Despite strong performances, the film has failed to find box office momentum and is now in its final days in theatres.
