Border 2’: Diljit Dosanjh’s First Look as a Pilot Revealed – A Hawk Watches Over the Nation’s Sky

The much-awaited sequel to the patriotic blockbuster Border, titled Border 2, is set to release next year. Ahead of the film’s launch, first look posters of the cast are being unveiled. After Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, the spotlight is now on Diljit Dosanjh, who appears in his first look as a war-time pilot. In the poster, he is seen flying a jet, bloodied and battle-ready, showcasing the intensity of aerial combat.

Border 2 continues the legacy of the original 1997 film, which depicted the heroism of Indian soldiers during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. This time, alongside Sunny Deol, the film introduces fresh faces including Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit’s first look poster portrays him in full pilot uniform, keeping a sharp eye on the enemies, symbolically acting as a hawk guarding the nation’s sky.

Diljit Dosanjh shared the poster on Monday, 1 December 2025, along with a short video featuring the song “Sandeshe Aate Hain…” in the background. Captioning the post, he wrote:
“In this country’s sky, the guru’s hawks stand guard.”

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is the sequel to JP Dutta’s iconic 1997 film Border, which starred Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Akshay Khanna, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

The upcoming sequel boasts a strong ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on 23 January 2025. Fans have already seen first look posters of Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, and now all eyes are on Diljit Dosanjh’s fierce portrayal as a patriotic pilot.
