In the blockbuster film Border 2, Ahan Shetty portrays Lieutenant Commander M.S. Rao. Two of his intense scenes have gone viral—the first showing him bloodied by the seaside, and the second depicting an artillery attack. Behind-the-scenes (BTS) footage of these sequences has now emerged, giving fans a glimpse of how the stunts were executed and leaving many emotionally overwhelmed.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 has taken the box office by storm, grossing ₹196.50 crore in India within five days and crossing ₹200 crore worldwide. Clocking in at 3 hours 16 minutes, the film draws audiences eager to watch performances by Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty. While some scenes evoke tears, others bring smiles, and the BTS clips have only intensified fan reactions.
One video shows Ahan Shetty performing a high-altitude artillery attack, surrounded by blue screens (chroma) while a person ignites fire below to simulate explosions. Another BTS clip reveals Sunny Deol attacking a character with a sack, while a third shows Ahan on a sinking submarine—filmed in a swimming pool with his face made up to appear wounded, cleverly portraying it as the open sea.
Fans have reacted strongly to these BTS reveals. One commented, “Don’t show such videos, it ruins all the emotions!” Another wrote, “I never imagined the enemy would attack in a swimming pool.” Others remarked that the chroma effects and behind-the-scenes tricks, while impressive, sometimes diminished the emotional impact of the scenes. Overall, fans were amazed to see the effort behind the cinematic magic, even as they joked about a swimming pool standing in for the vast ocean.
