‘Bigg Boss 19’ Fame Mridul Tiwari Clarifies He Has No Connection With Sister’s Film Amid ‘Yadavji Ki Love Story’ Controversy

Mridul Tiwari, who gained popularity as a contestant on Bigg Boss 19, has reacted to his name being dragged into the ongoing controversy surrounding his sister’s film Yadavji Ki Love Story. Tiwari firmly stated that he has no connection with the movie.

The film, starring Pragati Tiwari—Mridul’s sister—has sparked protests across Uttar Pradesh, with road demonstrations, FIRs, political statements, and heated discussions on social media. Amid this turmoil, Mridul addressed the public through his Instagram account, emphasizing that he should not be associated with the film in any way.

Yadavji Ki Love Story has nothing to do with me. I neither made this film nor do I have any power to change its title. I have publicly clarified this multiple times, and sensible, informed people have understood the truth. But explaining this to those spreading baseless accusations is futile,” Mridul wrote.

He further appealed to the public, saying, “Hurting the sentiments of any community is not my intention. I respect everyone’s feelings, and if there is objection to the film’s title, I support you in having it changed.” He urged people not to spread misinformation.

The controversy has escalated in areas like Sambhal and Gunnaur, where members of the Yadav community have been protesting, claiming that the film’s title and storyline portray their community in a negative light, harming its social image.

FIRs have been filed against the film’s producer Sandeep Tomar, director Ankit Bhardwaj, and actors involved. Protesters have warned cinema hall owners against screening the film in their areas, and in some places, posters of the movie have even been set on fire.
