Punjabi singer Dilnoor has lodged a formal complaint with the Mohali SSP after receiving threatening phone calls. The caller, identifying himself as Arju Bishnoi, demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore from singer B Praak, warning that failure to comply would result in harm to the artist.
According to Dilnoor’s complaint, the threats began with two missed calls from an international number on 5 January. The next day, 6 January, he received another call from a different foreign number. Finding the conversation suspicious, Dilnoor ended the call, only to receive a threatening voice message immediately afterward.
In the audio message, the caller allegedly instructed that B Praak must be paid Rs 10 crore within a week, or he would face serious consequences. The Mohali police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Dilnoor, a longtime friend of B Praak, has known the singer since 2014, when he first became a fan of B Praak’s music. Their friendship deepened over the years, with Dilnoor actively supporting B Praak’s work. Speaking about his admiration, Dilnoor said, “I have been a fan of B Praak since 2014, when he worked on the song Soch with Hardy Sandhu. Since then, I have been completely devoted to his music. Back in 2014, I worked as a guitarist with Jassi Gill and Babbu Rai, and B Praak’s music was always with me. My admiration for him has never been a secret.”
The police are currently investigating the incident, as fans and the music industry await updates on B Praak’s safety.
