The new season of comedian Kapil Sharma’s popular show, “The Great Indian Kapil Show,” is winning hearts once again. Among the judges are veteran actress Archana Puran Singh and former cricketer-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu. Recently, Archana made a surprising revelation — Sidhu’s booming laughter is so loud that it has started affecting her hearing in her right ear!
The fourth season of the show premiered on Netflix OTT on December 20, 2025. Archana, along with Sidhu, sits on the judges’ panel, evaluating celebrity performances with her characteristic wit and charm. During a promotional event, when asked how she tolerates the playful “roasting” on the show, Archana gave a heartfelt response.
She said, “Many people ask me why I endure such ‘insults’ on the show. But it’s not really insulting — it’s all part of the roasting, and everyone participates willingly. There’s mutual respect and admiration in our team. I know no one would ever treat me badly. I love Kapil, Sunil, Krishna, and Kiku so much that nothing they say ever bothers me. Everything is said with affection.”
Co-judge Krishna Abhishek, lightening the mood, joked, “There’s love, but I must tell you, Archana ji takes a hefty fee!”
Archana also revealed a humorous side effect of Sidhu’s famous laughter. She said, “Sometimes I feel like putting a stop button on Sidhu’s laughter because he laughs so loudly and for so long. Everyone thinks I laugh a lot, but Sidhu’s laughter is even louder than mine. His continuous laughter has started affecting my right ear slightly.”
The show continues to entertain viewers with Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, and Krishna Abhishek bringing in their classic comic timing. The premiere episode featured Priyanka Chopra, while the second episode showcased the Indian Women’s Cricket Team.
