Archana Puran Singh Diagnosed with Rare Condition After Wrist Fracture; Hand May Never Fully Recover

Veteran actress and television personality Archana Puran Singh has been diagnosed with a rare medical condition following a serious injury on a film set in 2025. According to her family, the actress’s hand may never return to its earlier condition, leaving her and her loved ones deeply emotional.

Archana had suffered a wrist fracture while shooting for a film starring Rajkummar Rao last year. Though she was rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident, her recovery turned out to be long and complicated. Post-injury, she developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)—a rare and chronic pain condition that can occur after trauma and significantly affect movement and functionality.

The revelation was made by her younger son Ayushmaan Sethi in a recent family vlog, where he paid an emotional tribute to his parents and family members. While speaking about his mother, Ayushmaan said that despite immense physical pain and emotional stress, Archana continued to work tirelessly.

“My mom’s hand broke, and she developed CRPS, which means her hand will never be the same again,” Ayushmaan shared, adding that 2025 had been one of the most challenging years for her.

Despite her condition, Archana reportedly completed the shooting of two to three films and a web series, including a phase where she worked continuously for 30 days without complaint. Ayushmaan praised her resilience, calling her an inspiration for perseverance and strength.

The emotional tribute left Archana overwhelmed, and she was seen breaking down in tears in the video. The family is currently vacationing in London, where the vlog was recorded.

Archana Puran Singh, who is over 60, also received praise for starting a YouTube channel with her husband, actor Parmeet Sethi, embracing new challenges even while dealing with health setbacks.

Fans and colleagues from the industry have since expressed concern and admiration for the actress, lauding her courage and unwavering dedication to her craft despite personal adversity.
