Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli Acquire ₹37.86 Crore Property in Alibaug, Expand Their Holiday Home Portfolio

Bollywood and cricket fans now have another reason to visit Alibaug, as superstar couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have added a new property to their growing real estate portfolio. The couple recently purchased a 5.1-acre plot valued at ₹37.86 crore during a trip to the coastal town last month.

Details of the Purchase
According to LiveMint, the land is located in Jeerad village and was bought from Sonali Amit Rajput, director of Samira Land Assets Pvt. Ltd. The registration of the two plots was completed on 13 January 2026, with a stamp duty payment of approximately ₹2.27 crore. Reports indicate that Virat’s brother, Vikas Kohli, handled all the paperwork on the couple’s behalf. Notably, Vikas had also overseen their ₹80-crore Gurugram bungalow.

Second Major Investment in Alibaug
This is not Anushka and Virat’s first major real estate move in Alibaug. In 2022, they acquired two separate plots totaling around 8 acres for ₹19.24 crore from real estate developer Samira Habitats, where they subsequently constructed a luxurious holiday home.

Celebrity Neighborhood
Alibaug has become a preferred destination for celebrities in recent years. In 2021, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh purchased a lavish bungalow in Mapgaon for ₹22 crore, located just 10 kilometers from Anushka and Virat’s new property. In 2023, Suhaana Khan followed in her father Shah Rukh Khan’s footsteps, acquiring three houses on 1.5 acres in Thal village for approximately ₹12.91 crore. Cricket star Rohit Sharma also owns a 4-acre plot in the area, registered under his wife Ritika Sajdeh in 2021.

With this latest acquisition, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli continue to strengthen their presence in Alibaug, adding to the growing trend of Bollywood stars and cricketers investing in the scenic coastal town.
