“Animal Park” Sequel: Ranbir Kapoor to Play Dual Roles in Dark, Violent Follow-Up

Fans of Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol are eagerly awaiting the sequel to their 2023 blockbuster Animal. Titled Animal Park, the next installment promises to be darker, more intense, and even more violent than the original, according to director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Sequel Shooting to Begin Mid-2027
In a recent interview following the Japan release of Animal, Vanga confirmed that filming for Animal Park will commence around mid-2027. The director revealed that the sequel will feature a fierce showdown between two doppelgangers, with Ranbir Kapoor potentially portraying both the hero and the villain.

“Once my current project is complete, we will start shooting Animal Park. There will be more ‘animals’ in this film because Aziz is also an animal. Considering this, the story revolves around a war between two lookalikes, making Animal Park the perfect title,” Vanga explained.

Ranbir Kapoor Excited for Dual Roles
Ranbir Kapoor expressed his enthusiasm for the sequel, saying, “I’m really excited to play both roles this time.” Alongside him, actors Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri are expected to return for the sequel, continuing the story from the first film.

About the Original “Animal”
The first film, Animal, focused on Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Ranvijay Singh, who reveres his father like a deity. The plot follows Ranvijay’s journey back to his father’s side after years apart, amid a deadly conspiracy threatening his life. Bobby Deol appeared in a notable cameo.
