Mumbai: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, 83, is once again making headlines—not for a film, but for a cryptic tweet about his voice. On February 17, he posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account:
“T 5660 – My voice is no longer my own!!!”
The tweet sparked a flurry of reactions from fans and celebrities alike. Actor Ranvir Shorey humorously commented, “Sir, with AI around, even your face is no longer yours.” Many users joined the conversation, mixing playful teasing with admiration for the veteran actor. One user wrote, “Guruji, remember: the body isn’t yours either. It’s made of clay. Relax while you can; you are a national treasure.”
Fans React and Poke Fun
Comments ranged from light-hearted to reflective. Some joked about AI confusing Alexa, while others referenced Bollywood icons like Rekha. Another user wrote, “At 83, give your throat some rest,” and yet another noted, “Even if the voice is now AI-generated, may your tradition, reputation, and discipline always remain yours.”
A Long Twitter Journey
Amitabh joined Twitter in May 2010, starting with the cryptic numbering system he still uses today. His early tweets were simply numbered “T1,” “T2,” and so on—a method he explained during the promotion of his film Badla as a way to track and reference his posts easily.
Upcoming Projects
Professionally, Amitabh last appeared in films Kalki 2898 AD and Vettaiyaan in 2024, and lent his voice for the 2025 film 120. Fans are eagerly awaiting his upcoming role as Jatayu in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan: Part 1 and his return in the second installment of Kalki 2898 AD.
Amitabh’s tweets, often cryptic or reflective, continue to captivate fans, proving that even off-screen, the superstar remains a trendsetter in social media conversations.
