Ameesha Patel Breaks Silence on Non-Bailable Warrant; Opens Up About Wedding Performance Case in UP

Following the issuance of a non-bailable warrant against her by a Muradabad court, Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has broken her silence on the matter through social media. She stated that her legal team is initiating appropriate criminal proceedings to expose the false claims made by the complainant.

A 10-Year-Old Case Resurfaces

Ameesha Patel is once again in the news regarding a decade-old case, for which the Muradabad court has issued a non-bailable warrant. The actress shared her side of the story on Instagram, clarifying that the matter is an old dispute and had already been resolved. She emphasized that the complainant himself had signed a settlement deed.

Statement from Ameesha Patel

In her Instagram stories, Ameesha Patel wrote,
“Media reports suggest that certain proceedings have been initiated by Pawan Verma in Muradabad. I want to clarify that this is a very old case from several years ago, in which Pawan Verma had signed a settlement deed and received the full agreed amount.”

She further added,
“Despite this, it appears that false allegations have been made to reopen the case. My lawyers are initiating appropriate criminal proceedings to expose these false claims, while I focus on my work and choose to ignore those who try to create a spectacle to attract attention.”

Background: Wedding Performance in 2017

The case reportedly pertains to a 2017 wedding event booking. According to reports, event organizer Pawan Verma alleged that Ameesha Patel had been contracted to perform at a wedding on 16 November 2017, for which an advance payment of ₹14.50 lakh was made. The complainant also claimed that arrangements for her stay at a hotel on Delhi Road, Muradabad, had been completed.

Allegations of Partial Refund

The complaint states that Ameesha Patel did not arrive on the scheduled date, and after further discussions, only a partial refund was provided. It is also reported that while ₹10 lakh was returned in cash, a cheque of ₹4.50 lakh allegedly bounced, prompting the organizer to seek legal action.
