Amaal Malik Took ₹5 Lakh Loan for Facial Surgery; Endured 45 Stitches After Skull Fracture

Singer Amaal Malik, who recently appeared on Bigg Boss 19, opened up about the severe injuries he sustained during his childhood and the medical challenges he has faced since. He revealed that he had to take a loan of ₹5 lakh for facial surgery after a serious accident left his right skull fractured, requiring 45 stitches.

In a candid conversation with Pinkvilla, Malik shared, “I had to take a loan of ₹5 lakh for my facial surgery. My right skull was fractured. During my 12th-grade exams, my entire face was broken. I had to write the exams for 3–4 hours while keeping my eyes open with the help of a device. Everything happened so quickly, but I am grateful to be alive.”

Injuries and Ongoing Health Struggles
Amaal also discussed the challenges with his knees and other injuries. He explained that he wears special braces during performances to prevent his knees from dislocating. “While performing during the grand finale, I experienced my knees giving way while spinning. These are physical issues that need proper treatment, but earlier I couldn’t afford the surgeries, and now I lack the time. Surgeries are very expensive,” he said.

Additionally, Malik revealed that he has been battling health issues since childhood. He also suffers from sleep apnea, which causes his breathing to stop for 15–20 seconds while sleeping, necessitating the use of a machine at night.

Focusing on Health and Recovery
Despite his busy career, Amaal emphasized the importance of self-care. “I am now trying to fix all these issues. It’s essential to understand the problem and give yourself time. I’ve been fighting for my health since I was five years old. Alongside music, taking care of oneself is a priority,” he added.

Amaal Malik’s journey highlights his resilience and determination, balancing a successful music career with long-standing health challenges and personal recovery.
