Mumbai – Akshaye Khanna is receiving widespread acclaim for his performance as Rahman Daku in the action-packed thriller Dhurandhar. His commanding portrayal has overshadowed much of the rest of the cast, while his energetic dance performance to the song Fa9la has left audiences mesmerized.
Amid the buzz, a 21-year-old video of Kareena Kapoor praising Khanna has resurfaced and gone viral. In the clip, dating back to their 2004 collaboration in the film Hulchul, Kareena reveals she was a huge fan of Akshaye Khanna during her school days. “I’ve watched Himalay Putra at least 20 times. Back then, Akshaye Khanna was the ultimate heartthrob. I was crazy about him,” she said. Playfully, she added, “Akshaye Khanna, Akshaye Khanna, I’m a bachelor!”
Kareena also lauded his talent and personality, stating, “I’ve always liked Akshaye. He’s incredibly cute, sweet, and a fantastic actor. He has the qualities to make it in Hollywood. His performances are mind-blowing.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar also stars Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi. Released on December 5, the film has already earned ₹152.75 crore domestically and ₹225 crore worldwide, with Khanna’s riveting performance emerging as the highlight.
