Some reports even suggested the couple might be headed for divorce. Akanksha has now addressed these rumours and revealed the truth behind the post.
Clarifying the Rumours
Speaking to our affiliate eTimes, Akanksha Chamola said, “There are no issues in our marriage, and that post had nothing to do with Gaurav. I do not discuss personal matters on social media. The post was meant to promote my upcoming series. People can interpret it however they want, but it has been blown out of proportion.”
The Instagram Post That Sparked Speculation
The post in question read, “Where a relationship is built only on needs, the heart is always sacrificed.” Following this, many assumed discord between Akanksha and Gaurav, while others linked it to Gaurav’s desire to become a father and Akanksha’s decision not to. On this, she clarified, “I’ve always been open about my choice not to pursue motherhood. This is my personal decision, and I do not owe anyone an explanation. All this chatter is on social media. Outside of it, no one has ever judged or questioned me for my choices.”
Supporting Each Other
Akanksha added, “I have often been trolled online. Gaurav is cautious because he wants to protect my image. We have an age difference, but he is mature enough to understand my perspective.”
A Decade-Long Love Story
Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola have a nine-year age difference. Their love story began during an audition, and they married in 2016. Like Gaurav, Akanksha is a television star and has appeared in several shows. The couple recently celebrated ten years of marriage.
