Advance Booking for ‘Dhurandhar’ Off to a Flying Start, While ‘120 Bahadur’ and ‘Masti 4’ Struggle at the Box Office

With just four days left for its release, Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated multi-starrer Dhurandhar has begun its advance booking, and the response has been spectacular. Despite a limited rollout, the film has already sold over 9,200 tickets in the first 24 hours, grossing ₹46.02 lakh. Including blocked seats, advance bookings have brought in a total of ₹1.99 crore.

Scheduled for release on Friday, 5 December, Dhurandhar has created considerable buzz with its powerful trailer and chart-topping songs. Advance bookings have quietly started in major cities across PVR and INOX multiplexes, as well as in several single-screen theaters. As of Monday morning, 2,313 shows had already opened for pre-booking, with expectations that the number would double by evening.

The film features a stellar cast including Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Khanna, Sara Arjun, and Rajat Bedi. With a runtime of 3 hours and 32 minutes, Dhurandhar promises a grand cinematic experience and is poised to make a significant impact at the box office.

Meanwhile, the release of Farhan Akhtar’s war drama 120 Bahadur and the adult comedy Masti 4 has been overshadowed. Despite the weekend, both films have struggled to attract audiences. 120 Bahadur, made on a ₹90 crore budget, has grossed ₹21.25 crore worldwide over ten days, including a domestic net collection of ₹16.98 crore. On Sunday, it managed only ₹83 lakh domestically, following ₹75 lakh on Saturday.

Similarly, Masti 4, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, has failed to make a mark. Made on a ₹50 crore budget, the film has earned a domestic net collection of ₹14.47 crore and a worldwide gross of ₹18.60 crore over ten days. On Sunday alone, it raked in just ₹23 lakh domestically.

At present, Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s romantic drama Tere Ishq Mein continues to dominate the box office, having earned over ₹51 crore during its opening weekend, with expectations that it could match the success of films like Saiyara and Ek Deewane Ki Diwanigat. However, with the arrival of Dhurandhar, industry insiders anticipate stiff competition for the upcoming week.
