Actress Khushi Mukherjee Faces ₹100 Crore Defamation Case Over Suryakumar Yadav Claim

Actress Khushi Mukherjee is in legal trouble after a ₹100 crore defamation case was filed against her. The case also demands a minimum seven-year prison sentence. The controversy stems from Khushi’s claim that Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav frequently messaged her.

The lawsuit was filed on 13 January 2026 by social media influencer Faizan Ansari at Ghazipur Police Station, Mumbai. Ansari described Khushi’s claims as “false and insulting,” alleging that they were made deliberately to gain publicity and could harm the cricketer’s national reputation.

Demand for Severe Action
Faizan Ansari has requested strict legal action against the actress, including a minimum seven-year jail term. Speaking to the media, he said, “We want an immediate FIR against Khushi Mukherjee. I have detailed this in my written complaint. I have over 2 million followers on Instagram, and millions watch my videos. I will remain in Ghazipur until justice is served. If Khushi can prove her allegations, I am ready to apologize publicly.” Ansari had previously filed a similar ₹100 crore defamation suit against actress Poonam Pandey.

Khushi Mukherjee’s Statement
A few days ago, Khushi claimed that Suryakumar Yadav had been messaging her and that several cricketers were interested in her. She had said, “Suryakumar used to message me a lot. We don’t talk much now. I don’t even want my name linked with him. I don’t like hookup rumors.”

Later, in an interview with NDTV, she clarified her stance, stating that she never had a romantic relationship with Suryakumar and that her words were exaggerated, leading to misunderstandings. She said their interaction was purely friendly, and now there is no contact.
