Abhishek Bachchan Once Slapped by Woman Who Criticized His Acting

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, son of legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has shared an incident from his early career when he was slapped by a woman who criticized his acting.

A Star Kid’s Struggle

Abhishek, born on 5 February 1976 in Mumbai, initially aspired to a career in business, studying business management abroad. Recalling the incident at the 2018 Jagran Film Summit, Abhishek revealed that around 2002, during a screening of his film Shararat at Gayatri Galaxy, an unknown woman approached him and slapped him. She reportedly said, “You are tarnishing your family’s name. Stop acting.” While he laughs about the incident today, it had left a lasting impression at the time.

Abhishek has always been candid in accepting both praise and criticism. After the box office failure of Manmarziyaan, a social media user tweeted sarcastic remarks about his talent and nepotism. Abhishek responded gracefully, urging the user to check facts before making public comments.
