New Delhi, November 28:
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that Farhan Akhtar’s recently released war drama 120 Bahadur has been declared tax-free in the national capital. The decision, taken as a mark of respect for the bravery of Indian soldiers, was welcomed warmly by actor Farhan Akhtar.

A Tribute to the Nation’s Heroes

120 Bahadur, which hit theatres on November 21, has received significant appreciation from audiences. Exactly a week after its release, the Delhi government waived entertainment tax on the film. Announcing the move on Thursday night, CM Rekha Gupta said the film honours the extraordinary courage, sacrifice and leadership displayed by the 120 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment’s Charlie Company during the 1962 Rezang La battle.

Sharing the update on Instagram, Farhan Akhtar expressed gratitude, writing:
“‘120 Bahadur’ is now tax-free in Delhi. Grateful to Hon’ble Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ji for her support. With this encouragement, the story of courage will travel even farther.”

Lower Ticket Prices for Viewers

With the tax exemption effective from November 28, moviegoers in Delhi will now pay reduced ticket prices to watch the film. The decision coincides with the theatrical release of other films such as Gustakh Ishq and Tere Ishq Mein, adding momentum to cinema footfall this weekend.
