
UP Police Constable Vacancy 2026: Application Process Begins
The Uttar Pradesh Police has officially opened applications for the recruitment of over 32,000 constables, including positions for jail wardens, PAC constables, women battalion members, and horsemen. In a positive development, the Uttar Pradesh government has also extended the age limit by three years, allowing candidates who were previously ineligible due to age restrictions to apply.

Required Eligibility for UP Police Recruitment
Candidates applying must have passed 12th grade from a recognized board or equivalent as per government standards. Note that candidates who are currently appearing for the 12th grade exams or will be appearing after the application deadline are not eligible. Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years old on 1st July 2025, with a maximum age of 22 years. However, due to the recent age relaxation announcement, male candidates in the general category up to the age of 25 years are now eligible to apply. Candidates from other categories will also benefit from a 3-year age relaxation.

- Valid email ID and mobile number for OTR registration
- Aadhar card / PAN card / Passport / Driving License
- 10th-grade mark sheet and certificate
- 12th-grade mark sheet and certificate
- Caste certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
- OBC certificate (valid until 1st April 2025, last date for form submission is 30th January 2026)
- EWS certificate (valid until 1st April 2025, last date for form submission is 30th January 2026)
- Permanent residence certificate (applicable to all candidates of Uttar Pradesh, including general, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS)
- Certificate as per the State Employee Certificate format – Form 5
- Freedom fighter’s dependent certificate (if applicable)
- Father’s caste certificate for female candidates claiming reservation
- Original certificates (for verification during the document check)
Important Notes
- Central Government certificates for SC/ST, EWS, and OBC will not be valid for state-level recruitment. You must submit certificates in the state-specific format.
- Keep the original certificates safe as they will be required for verification. If original documents are not presented during verification, your application may be canceled.
- If you are claiming reservation in multiple categories, you will only receive the benefit of one category’s reservation. Therefore, fill out your category carefully while applying.
