UP Police Recruitment 2026: Age Relaxation Announced, Check Eligibility Dates for Applicants

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued a notice clarifying the age eligibility for candidates applying to the 2026 UP Police Constable recruitment, following a three-year age relaxation announced by the state government.

With the age relaxation, candidates have been seeking clarity on the revised eligibility criteria, as several documents need to be prepared for the application process. Only candidates whose date of birth falls within the prescribed range will be considered eligible to apply.

The state government has announced an additional three years’ age relaxation for this recruitment. After the relaxation:

• Male candidates must be below 25 years of age.
• Female candidates will also benefit from the additional age relaxation.

Educational and Physical Requirements
Applicants must have passed 12th standard or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board. Candidates appearing for the intermediate exams are not eligible. Height requirements are as follows:

• General/OBC/SC males: Minimum 168 cm
• ST males: Minimum 160 cm
• Females: Minimum 152 cm
• ST females: Minimum 147 cm
