Lucknow, UP: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the recruitment for over 41,000 Home Guard vacancies across the state. Eligible candidates who have passed 10th standard can apply online from 18th November 2025 onwards at uppbpb.gov.in. This is a great opportunity for aspirants seeking a government job, especially as the written exam will cover only one subject – General Knowledge.
Exam Pattern:
- The written test will consist of 100 General Knowledge questions, each carrying 1 mark.
- The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
- Candidates must secure at least 25% marks to qualify for the next stage.
- No questions will be asked from Math, Reasoning, English, or Hindi.
Physical Standards:
- Male Candidates: Minimum height 168 cm (160 cm for ST candidates); Chest 79–84 cm (77–82 cm for ST candidates).
- Female Candidates: Minimum height 152 cm (147 cm for ST candidates).
Physical Efficiency Test:
- Male candidates must complete a 4.8 km run in 28 minutes.
- Female candidates must complete a 2.4 km run in 16 minutes.
- Candidates failing to meet the time criteria will be disqualified.
Eligibility:
- Educational Qualification: 10th pass from a recognized board. Candidates whose results are not yet declared are not eligible.
- Age Limit: 18–30 years as of 1st July 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.
The selection process includes written exam, physical standards verification, physical efficiency test, and document verification. A district-wise merit list will be published based on performance.
