Study at Yale University for Free if Family Income is Below ₹91 Lakh, Here’s How

USA: Yale University, one of the prestigious Ivy League institutions in the United States, has announced a need-based financial aid program that could allow students from low-income families to pursue a Bachelor’s degree completely free of cost.

Under this policy, students whose family income is below $100,000 (approximately ₹91 lakh) will not have to pay tuition fees. Those with family incomes below $200,000 (around ₹1.82 crore) will also receive tuition fee waivers. The scheme applies to students enrolling in the Fall 2026 intake.

Benefits for International Students:
The financial aid program is available to all applicants, regardless of nationality. Need-based aid is awarded after evaluating the student’s financial situation, considering both the U.S. economy and the applicant’s home country.

Additional Support:

• Students from low-income families are fully covered for housing, meals, travel allowance, and health insurance.
• Grants are also provided to purchase books and educational resources.
• About 80% of U.S. families can benefit from tuition-free education at Yale, and 50% of students may receive fully funded programs.
