Toronto: Canada continues to be one of the most preferred destinations for Indian students seeking higher education. According to recent government data, over 427,000 Indian students are currently studying in the country, making it the top choice globally for Indian learners. A major attraction is the opportunity to obtain Permanent Residency (PR) after completing certain courses, enabling students to live and work in Canada permanently.

PR Process for International Students
Students must first complete their studies in these eligible courses and obtain a Post-Study Work Permit, usually valid for up to three years. After gaining Canadian work experience, they can apply for PR through the Express Entry system. Many graduates opt for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) to secure permanent residency. Additionally, some provinces sponsor students directly through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for specific jobs in demand.
With the right course and strategy, Canada offers a clear path for international students to study, work, and settle permanently.
