SSC Gives Good News to JE & CPO Candidates: Choose Your Exam Date, City, and Shift

New Delhi: Candidates applying for SSC Junior Engineer (JE) and CPO 2025 exams have received a major update from the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Similar to the CHSL exams, SSC is now allowing candidates to self-select their exam date, city, and shift for both JE and CPO Tier-I exams. The board has released an official notice with detailed instructions, available on ssc.gov.in.

Self-Slot Booking Dates:
The self-slot booking windows for the exams will open on different dates as per the schedule:

Candidates are advised to book their preferred slots early, as available slots may fill quickly. Once a slot is confirmed, it will be final, and no changes will be allowed. Candidates who fail to book a slot will be automatically allotted one by the system, based on the cities they selected during the application process.

How to Book Your Slot:

1. Visit the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in.
2. Click on “Login or Register” and enter your registration number and password.
3. Navigate to My Applications and select the JE or CPO form for which you want to book the slot.
4. Choose your preferred exam date, city, and shift from the available options.
5. If your preferred slot shows “Not Available”, an alternate city option will be provided.
