SSC GD 2025: Commission Issues Important Notice Ahead of Last Date, Candidates Urged to Apply Early

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an important notice for candidates applying for the GD Constable recruitment 2025, ahead of the approaching deadline. Over 25,000 vacancies are open for recruitment in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Assam Rifles, and candidates are urged to submit their online applications well before the last date to avoid last-minute issues.

According to the notice, candidates should not wait until the final day, December 31, 2025, to apply. High traffic on the official website (ssc.gov.in) in the last days could cause login failures or submission errors. The commission has also clarified that the deadline will not be extended under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th pass from a recognized board.
• Age Limit (as of 1 Jan 2026): Minimum 18 years, maximum 23 years. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories.
• Height & Chest Requirements:
• Men: Minimum height 170 cm, chest 80 cm (with 5 cm expansion).
• Women: Minimum height 157 cm.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through a combination of written examination, document verification, physical efficiency test, and medical examination.
