
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the dates for the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2025. Following the declaration of the Tier 1 results, candidates who have qualified are now gearing up for the next stage. The Tier 2 written examination will be conducted on 18th January 2026, followed by the Skill Test on 19th January 2026. The detailed schedule has been released on SSC’s official website ssc.gov.in.
Key Highlights:
- Exam Date: 18th January 2026 (Written Tier 2), 19th January 2026 (Skill Test/Data Entry Speed Test)
- Number of Candidates: Approximately 1.38 lakh candidates will appear for Tier 2.
- Shortlisted Candidates: As per Tier 1 results, 6,196 candidates are shortlisted for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), 2,781 for Statistical Investigator Grade-2, and 1,30,418 for other posts.
- Admit Cards: Expected to be released in the second week of January 2026. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the SSC website using their registration number and password.
Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2025:
Tier 2 consists of two papers:
- Paper 1:
- Section I: Mathematical Abilities – 60 questions
- Section II: Reasoning & General Intelligence – 70 questions
- Section III: English Language & Comprehension, General Awareness – 70 questions
- Section IV: Computer Knowledge Test – 20 questions
- Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) – Qualifying only, conducted on 19th January 2026
- Paper 2:
- Statistics – 100 questions
Candidates are advised to continue their preparation rigorously, take mock tests, and focus on weaker areas to ensure success in the upcoming exams.
