New Delhi: The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a major recruitment drive for 2026, offering over 2,200 vacancies for the post of Circle Based Officer (CBO) across 16 banking circles in the country. Online applications have commenced from January 29, 2026, providing a significant opportunity for candidates aspiring for a government job in the banking sector.

Circle-wise Vacancy Distribution

Major allocations include 200 vacancies each in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, while Maharashtra and Gujarat have nearly 200 posts each.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a graduation degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. Applicants with professional qualifications such as Engineering, Medical degrees, Chartered Accountancy (CA), or Cost Accountancy are also eligible to apply.
The age limit is set between 21 and 30 years, calculated as of December 31, 2025. Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
