
New Delhi: The much-awaited Railway Group D recruitment 2025 has been officially announced. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the short notification for 22,000 Level 01 Group D posts. Candidates can apply starting 21 January 2026 through the RRB official website www.rrbapply.gov.in. The detailed notification will be released shortly.
Vacancy Details
The largest number of openings is for the Track Maintainer Grade IV position, with 11,000 posts approved. Other posts include Pointsman, Assistant (Track Machine, Bridge, P-Way, TRD, Electrical, C&W, TL&AC, S&T), and Assistant Operations (Electrical).

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are generally required to have completed 10th standard to apply. Previously, ITI qualification in a relevant trade was mandatory, but in the last recruitment cycle, both 10th pass and ITI candidates were eligible. Final eligibility requirements will be clarified in the detailed notification.

- Visit the RRB official website rrbapply.gov.in.
- Click on the relevant recruitment link under “Various Posts in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.”
- Complete new registration using basic details such as name, date of birth, parent’s names, Aadhaar, 10th marks, email, and mobile number.
- Use your registration number and password to log in, fill in required details, and upload photograph and signature.
- Pay the application fee online: ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹250 for SC/ST/Women/Transgender candidates.
- Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
