The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the dates for the Group D Level-1 examinations, scheduled from 27 November 2025 to 16 January 2026. This recruitment drive will fill 32,438 Level-1 posts, offering a major opportunity for 10th-pass youth seeking a secure job in the Indian Railways.

Exam Pattern at a Glance

The Computer-Based Test will consist of 100 questions from:

  • Mathematics
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning
  • General Science
  • General Awareness & Current Affairs

Candidates will get 90 minutes to complete the test. Each correct answer carries 1 mark, while each incorrect answer results in 1/3 negative marking.

3. Can exam city/date/shift be changed?

No. RRB will not entertain any request for changes under any circumstances.

4. When can SC/ST candidates download their free travel authority?

With the exam city slip, 10 days prior to the CBT.

5. When to download the e-call letter?

From 4 days before the exam date till the exam day.

6. Where is the mock test link available?

On all official RRB websites.

7. What are the exam dates?

Candidates must log in to view their individual dates, cities, and shifts.

8. What is the exam duration?

16. Google Maps link is not working — what should I do?

Search the exam centre name and address directly on Google Maps. The shared link is only for guidance.

17. What is the syllabus and section-wise marks distribution?

18. Which activities are strictly prohibited during the exam?

Carrying banned items, using electronic devices, copying, accessing internet, indiscipline, impersonation, misbehaviour with staff, or any unfair means.

19. Is Aadhaar verification mandatory?

Yes. Aadhaar-enabled biometric verification will be conducted at the centre. Candidates must ensure their Aadhaar is unlocked on the UIDAI system.

20. Why is Aadhaar verification required?

To ensure smooth entry and eliminate impersonation. RRB will not share Aadhaar data with any third party.
