Early Life and Education
Hailing from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Mayank completed his early schooling before enrolling at the renowned Hindu College, Delhi, where he earned a degree in Electronics Engineering. However, his true ambition was always to join the Indian Civil Services.
UPPCS Success and DSP Posting
In 2022, Mayank cleared the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPCS) exam and was posted as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Yet, his aspiration to become an IAS officer motivated him to begin UPSC preparation while managing his full-time responsibilities.
Cracking UPSC: Two Attempts, One Dream
Mayank first appeared in the UPSC 2023 exam and successfully joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) with a rank of 373.
