Aadhaar Card Requirement
The NTA has emphasized that candidates must use their Aadhaar card as the sole ID proof while registering. Using alternative ID proofs may require submission of additional documents and could delay identity verification. This precaution ensures smooth processing and avoids rejection.
NEET Application Guidelines
- The entire application process is online — including uploading documents, photograph, signature, thumb impression, and fee payment. Submissions via post, email, or other means will not be accepted.
- Candidates must provide a valid mobile number and email ID (own or parent’s/guardian’s), as all confirmations, OTPs, and communications will be sent to these contacts.
- Once submitted, the application cannot be withdrawn. Incomplete applications or incorrectly filled forms will be rejected automatically.
- Confirmation Page: Candidates must download and print multiple copies after submission. Only after generating the confirmation page is the application considered complete.
- Cross-Check All Details: Any errors in the form cannot be corrected after submission.
- Candidates who have already passed class 12 qualifying exams must select codes 02–07 in the form, while appearing candidates of 2026 must select code 01. Detailed eligibility is available in Chapter 6 of the NEET 2026 Information Bulletin.
- Candidates should update Aadhaar, caste certificate, and PwD certificate (if applicable) well in advance.
- Provide complete residential addresses — both permanent and correspondence — with accurate pin codes. Use home address only; coaching or other addresses are not permitted.
- Keep 6–8 passport-size color photographs (white background) ready, as the same photo will be required throughout the NEET exam, counseling, and admission process.
The NTA has made it clear that failure to comply with instructions or submission of false documents will result in automatic rejection, with full responsibility lying with the candidate. Students and guardians are strongly advised to read the information bulletin thoroughly before starting the registration process.
