“Like Arjuna, Focus Only on the Target”: Mantasha Khan Clears MPPSC, Becomes First Officer from Her Village

Strong determination, unwavering discipline, and relentless effort can turn even the most distant dream into reality. Mantasha Khan’s journey from a small village in Madhya Pradesh to becoming a state government officer is a living example of this belief. Despite facing repeated failures, she never allowed setbacks to define her future. Inspired by her father’s constant reminder to “aim like Arjuna,” Mantasha stayed focused—and today, she stands as the first officer from her village after cracking the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examination.

A Humble Beginning in a Small Village

Mantasha Khan hails from Kanada village in Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh. Her mother is a school teacher, and Mantasha completed her early education in village schools. From a young age, she understood the importance of academic excellence and began working hard from Class 12 onwards, believing that good marks would open doors to higher education and bigger opportunities.

The Journey Began After Graduation

After completing her graduation in 2020, Mantasha decided to pursue civil services seriously. Living in a village did not limit her ambition—rather, it strengthened her resolve. She began filling competitive exam forms and dedicated herself fully to preparation, determined to become an officer one day.

Three Failures, But No Surrender

The road to success was far from smooth. Mantasha faced three consecutive setbacks:

  • In 2020, she cleared the prelims but failed in the mains examination.
  • In 2021, she once again reached the mains but could not make it to the final list.
  • In 2022, she failed at the prelims stage.

Each failure brought disappointment, but quitting was never an option. Mantasha chose perseverance over despair.

A Father’s Inspiration: ‘Be Like Arjuna’

Whenever Mantasha felt low, her parents stood firmly by her side. Her father, in particular, played a crucial role in keeping her motivated. He often recited verses from the Bhagavad Gita, reminding her of Arjuna’s unwavering focus on his target. “Ignore distractions and aim only for your goal,” he would say—a lesson that became Mantasha’s guiding principle.

Two Interviews in One Month, A Dream Fulfilled

Her persistence finally paid off. In the 2023 attempt, Mantasha reached the interview stage for the first time. She continued refining her preparation and appeared again in 2024, facing two back-to-back interviews within a single month. Her hard work bore fruit when she secured Rank 2 in MPPSC 2024.

Mantasha Khan is currently appointed as a Commercial Tax Inspector, marking a historic moment for her village. She has become the first government officer from her community, filling her family—and countless aspirants—with pride and hope.

An Inspiration for Aspirants

Mantasha’s story is not just about clearing an exam; it is about resilience, discipline, and belief. Her journey proves that repeated failures do not signal the end—sometimes, they are simply preparing you for a greater victory.
