Jharkhand Jail Warder Recruitment 2026: Application Window Opens for 1,733 Posts, Opportunity for Class 10 Pass Candidates

A major employment opportunity has emerged for Class 10 pass candidates aspiring for a government job in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is set to open the online application window for the Jail Warder (Kakshpal) Recruitment 2025–26 from January 9, 2026.

Physical Standards: Height Requirements

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running Criteria

Candidates qualifying the physical standards test will have to clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

• Male Candidates: 1,600 meters run in 6 minutes
• Female Candidates: 1,600 meters run in 10 minutes

Notably, the earlier requirement of a 10 km run has been replaced with this revised criterion. Candidates who clear the PET will be eligible to appear for the written examination.

Sports Quota Provision

The recruitment also includes a Sports Quota, details of which have been provided separately by the JSSC. Eligible sportspersons are advised to check the official notification for discipline-wise reservation and eligibility conditions.
