Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026: Three-Year Age Relaxation Granted, Application Deadline Extended to January 31

In a major relief for aspiring candidates, the Haryana government has granted a one-time age relaxation of three years for applicants in the ongoing Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026, which aims to fill 5,500 posts across the state.

The decision was announced following approval by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, benefiting candidates who were earlier unable to apply due to exceeding the prescribed age limit.

Application Deadline Extended

Earlier, the online application window—opened on January 11, 2026—was scheduled to close on January 25. However, in view of the age relaxation, the last date to submit applications has now been extended to January 31, 2026, up to 11:59 PM.

Candidates can complete the application process through the official website of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) at www.hssc.gov.in.

Official Notice Issued

The HSSC has issued an official notification confirming the decision. As per the notice:

“For CET Phase-II Advertisement No. 01/2026 for Male and Female General Duty Constable recruitment, all categories of candidates are granted a one-time age relaxation of three (03) years beyond the prescribed upper age limit. The online application portal will remain open till 31.01.2026 (11:59 PM). No further extension will be granted under any circumstances.”

Relief for Over-Age Candidates

The move is expected to provide significant relief to thousands of candidates who missed earlier opportunities due to age restrictions and could not apply for the current recruitment cycle.

The recruitment drive is one of the largest police hiring initiatives in Haryana in recent years, and authorities have clarified that no further relaxation or extension will be considered beyond the revised deadline.
