University of Auckland ‘India High Achievers Scholarship’
For students planning to study in New Zealand, the University of Auckland offers the ‘India High Achievers Scholarship’, providing up to NZD 20,000 (approximately ₹10.70 lakh). This scholarship is available for students enrolling in undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, or master’s programs. Launched in 2022, the scholarship aims to encourage Indian students to pursue higher education in New Zealand by easing the financial burden.
Each year, 30 Indian students receive this scholarship, which is offered twice annually. The scholarship covers tuition fees, significantly reducing the overall cost of studying at the University of Auckland. Applications open on 19 February 2026, and the last date to apply is 2 April 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is exclusively for Indian students. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course at the University of Auckland. Eligible programs include undergraduate degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and master’s courses. The initiative was designed not only to make studying abroad more affordable but also to encourage more Indian students to consider New Zealand as a study destination.
