
The India Post GDS (Gramin Dak Sevak) recruitment 2026 application window has officially opened. Candidates can now apply online from January 31, 2026. This recruitment offers over 20,000 vacancies across 23 postal circles in India for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) and Branch Post Master (BPM). How to Apply Online for GDS Recruitment
Candidates can fill the application form on a mobile, tablet, or laptop by following these steps:
- Visit the official website: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in
- Go to Stage 1 Registration and enter basic details:
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Circle
- Year of 10th pass
- Enter verification details including Aadhaar Number and 10th language studied.
- Upload a latest color photo (≤50 KB, jpg format) and signature (≤20 KB).
- Verify all details, note the Registration Number, and select the Circle where you are applying. Enter the verification code sent.
- Proceed to Stage 2 → Apply Online.
- Some details will auto-fill; complete the remaining:
- Address and Permanent Address
- Educational Details (Board, Marks, etc.)
- Preferences as per GDS office instructions
- After verifying all details, click Save & Proceed.
- Pay the application fee and submit the application form.
