Bhopal: Dreams often take shape in the most unlikely places. In a village where people had never even heard the name of the Public Service Commission (PSC), a farmer’s son dared to dream of becoming an officer. That dream, seen while grazing buffaloes and working in the fields, has today turned into reality. This is the inspiring success story of Vishnu Gurjar, who cleared the MPPSC examination after failing three times and emerged victorious through perseverance and unwavering determination.
Vishnu Gurjar hails from Singapura village in Madhya Pradesh. His parents never had the opportunity to attend school, and farming was the family’s only source of income. Vishnu spent his childhood helping his father in agricultural work and grazing cattle. Limited resources, financial struggles, and lack of guidance made his journey extremely challenging.
He completed his schooling from a government school, cycling long distances every day. Academically an average student, Vishnu nevertheless nurtured a big ambition — to become a government officer. Encouraged by his parents’ faith, he decided to prepare for the MPPSC examination after completing his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
Vishnu appeared for the MPPSC exam for the first time in 2020, when he was just 21 years old. He successfully reached the interview stage but failed to secure selection. In 2021, his second attempt ended with failure in the mains examination. Undeterred, he tried again in 2022, reaching the interview round once more — only to face disappointment yet again.
Repeated failures and social pressure tested his resolve. Many advised him to give up, but his father’s trust and his own self-belief kept him going. Instead of quitting, Vishnu refined his strategy, strengthened his preparation, and worked harder than ever.
Finally, in 2023, his perseverance paid off. Vishnu Gurjar successfully cracked the MPPSC examination and was selected as a Cooperative Extension Officer (CEO). He became the first government officer from his region, a place where PSC exams were once completely unknown.
Vishnu Gurjar’s journey stands as a powerful reminder that failure is not the end, but a step toward success. His story continues to inspire millions of aspirants across the country who are battling adversity with dreams in their eyes and courage in their hearts.
