CTET 2026 LIVE: Admit Card to Be Released Soon, Exam Now Scheduled Over Two Days

New Delhi: Due to a surge in applications, the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 will now be conducted over two days—February 7 and 8, 2026—across 140 cities. Candidates are eagerly awaiting their admit cards, which are expected to be released shortly on the official website ctet.nic.in. A live update with the download link will be provided once the hall tickets are officially issued.

CTET Exam Schedule 2026:
Originally, the exam was scheduled only for February 8, 2026. However, to accommodate the large number of candidates, the CBSE has decided to conduct the exam in two shifts:

  • February 7, 2026 (Saturday)
  • February 8, 2026 (Sunday)

CTET Paper 1 Details:
CTET Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to teach classes I to V (Primary Stage). The exam will feature 150 multiple-choice questions covering child development, pedagogy, language, mathematics, and environmental studies.

Admit Card Guidelines:
Candidates must carry a valid ID proof along with the admit card to gain entry to the exam center. The Aadhaar card is recommended for verification purposes.

Exam City Slip:
Before the release of the admit card, CBSE has issued the CTET Exam City Slip, allowing candidates to know the city of their exam center. Students can check their exam city by visiting ctet.nic.in → Candidate Activity → View Date & City for CTET Feb-2026 → login with application number and password.

How to Download CTET 2026 Admit Card:

  1. Visit the official website ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link Download CTET Feb 2026 Admit Card.
  3. Enter your application number, date of birth, and captcha code.
  4. Your admit card will appear on screen. Check all details and download it.
  5. Take a printout to carry to the exam center.

Past Trends:
In previous years, CTET hall tickets were generally released 2–3 days before the exam:

  • 2025 – Exam: Jan 21 | Admit Card: Jan 18
  • 2024 – Exam: Jan 21 | Admit Card: Jan 18
  • 2023 – Exam: Dec 14–15 | Admit Card: Dec 12
  • 2023 – Exam: Jul 7 | Admit Card: Jul 5

Tips for Candidates:
Candidates should ensure they have their admit card, valid ID, and exam city slip ready. Preparation strategies should focus on core subjects for Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and adhere to CBSE’s exam guidelines.
