The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam admit cards for 2026 in phases, and not all students can download them directly. While private candidates can access their hall tickets online, regular students must obtain theirs through their schools.
Exam Dates and Admit Card Timeline
CBSE board exams for Class 10 and 12 will begin on February 17, 2026, with Class 10 concluding on March 11 and Class 12 exams ending on April 10. For private candidates, admit cards were released on January 17, 2026, though some faced technical issues due to server problems.
For regular students—those enrolled in CBSE-affiliated schools, attending classes regularly, and submitting exam forms through their schools—the admit cards will likely be issued 15 days before the exams, tentatively between February 2–4, 2026.
How Private Students Can Download CBSE Admit Cards
- Visit the official CBSE website: cbse.gov.in.
- Click on the tab for private candidates or the relevant link for “CBSE Admit Card 2026 for Class 10 & 12 Private Candidates.”
- On the login page, enter your CBSE roll number, password, and other required details.
- Submit the form to view your admit card. Download and print it carefully. Verify all information, and if there are discrepancies, contact the CBSE helpline or email immediately for corrections.
How Regular Students Will Receive Their Admit Cards
Regular students cannot download their admit cards individually. Instead, once CBSE issues the hall tickets, schools will use their login credentials to download admit cards for all registered students. Schools will then verify and distribute them to students.
Students are advised to remain in contact with their schools to receive their admit cards promptly. Once received, it is essential to check all details and report any errors for correction. Additionally, students should carefully read all instructions provided on the admit card to avoid issues during the examination.
